About Our Program
Mission Unity is an organization that provides inpatient and outpatient services.
Inpatient services include 28 day residential treatment and Detoxification. Outpatient services include Intensive Outpatient Program, and Out Patient Treatment.
Mission Unity also provides affordable supportive housing. Mission Unity provides quality care with experienced staff. Mission Unity is designed to assist clients in their recovery. Mission Unity uses a combination of Motivational Interviewing, The Matrix Recovery Model, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy and 12 Step Recovery principles.
What You Can Expect
You can expect to be treated with dignity and respect. Clients will learn emotion regulation, positive coping skills, substance abuse treatment, anger management, stress management, relapse prevention, 12 step meetings, book studies, motivation for recovery, yoga & meditation, understanding triggers and managing boredom. Clients can expect that they will have 4 groups a day, 1 meeting a day and 1 bopk study a day. You can expect that you will receive a psychosocial assessment, individual counseling, an individualized treatment plan, discharge planning, family counseling, links to medical and psychiatrist care if needed. You can expect that on your individual treatment plan you will have individualized goals and objectives. You will have the opportunity to increase your emotional regulation and understand your addiction in a safe environment.
It is our goal that all of our clients experience recovery. We are committed to providing you with the tools so that you can see, feel and understand that recovery is possible and sustainable. We will provide a safe nurturing environment we will combine a variety of treatment strategies as we understand that addiction can consist of many elements that may include biology, chemistry, environment, social skills, relationships, social adaptation & adjustments, emotion regulation, coping mechanisms, trauma, anger, impulsivity and spirituality.
You can expect that we will require your attention and focus for 28 days. We will ask you to surrender your cell phones and computers. You will have limited contact with friends and family through counseling sessions. You can expect that you will receive random drug screens in all of our programs. We will be asking you to dedicate 28 days to Mission Unity, and give us the opportunity and the privilege to assist you in your recovery. We ask that you keep an open mind and allow us to guide you through this initial recovery process. You can expect that recovery is something that you will learn and earn. You will learn that recovery is not only possible but it can be a reality for you if you are willing to commit to the process. You will learn new skills that change your thinking patterns from irrationality and impulsivity to rational emotion regulation. We will establish a routine and provide a scheduled environment that will encourage this mental shift to occur. You can expect that when you leave Mission Unity that, you have obtained a set of skills and links to services that will assist you in your ongoing recovery.
You can expect that when you leave the 28 day program you will have an aftercare plan. This will include where you will beĀ going next, links to services, information regarding meetings in your community, possible transition to lOP or the OT program, possible transition to the affordable housing program. We want you to be successful as you continue your recovery after the 28 day program. The aftercare plan is very individualistic and will be based on your needs. The aftercare plan is incorporated in your treatment and developed between you and your therapist. Aftercare planning is an ongoing process that begins when you enter the program.
