Mission Unity Outpatient Detoxification Program
Managing the symptoms of withdrawal.
While participating in our Outpatient Detoxification Program at Mission Unity, you will be under the supervision of Medical Personnel.
Your symptoms will be will be managed by a Physician.
Your treatment will be determined by the Physician according to your symptoms or potential symptoms that can arise.
You will be seen by a Registered Nurse daily to evaluate your symptoms and response to any treatment.
You may or may not require medications during this process and it will be determined by medical personnel which will be evaluated on a daily basis.
It is the philosophy of Mission Unity not to maintain clients on medications long term but to provide necessary medication during the acute phase of detox only.
Eligibility for Outpatient Detoxification shall be determined from the following:
- The client’s overall medical condition;
- The client’s family support system, for the purpose of observing the client during the detoxification process, and for monitoring compliance with the medical protocol;
- The client’s overall stability and behavioral condition;
- The client’s ability to understand the importance of managing withdrawal utilizing medications and to comply with the medical protocol; and 5. An assessment of the client’s ability to abstain from the use of substances, except for the proper use of prescribed medication.
MEDICAL STABILIZATION/ OUTPATIENT DETOXIFICATION:
FEE INCLUDES: A Physical Examination and Medical Clearance by our licensed Medical Director, Assessment, Aftercare Planning, Any medications required to manage withdraw symptoms, daily visit from Registered Nurse.
This is a 5 to 7 day Outpatient Detoxification, After a successful completion of this program, immediate entry into our Residential Treatment Program will be offered.
