          Mission Unity, Inc. has applied for a grant from Hamburger Helper called My Hometown Helper. This grant will allow Mission Unity to offer

48 separate one week scholarships to residents.  This will enable us to be able to offer our services to a higher number of people who come to us completely destitute.  This type of scholarship program will give new residents, who qualify, a seven day buffer to obtain employment without sustaining the additional debts of their service fees piling up during their job search.

          This grant has the unique ability to allow the community to comment, via the internet, on why they believe we should receive the grant.  By going to

anyone can submit a positive referral for Mission Unity to receive this grant.
